Help me get to China!
Hey friends! As always, I, Kristin D. Hemingway, have another great adventure planned for this summer! After spending 3 weeks serving my local community in Metropolitan Atlanta, I will be embarking on an international adventure of epic proportions!
I’m excited to have been given the wonderful opportunity to travel to China this summer to teach English and share my life with young Chinese teachers. I will be a member of a team with the Summer Teaching Program (STP) and I am so thankful that God has given me this opportunity.
This summer I will depart for Beijing for a week and a half of training with other volunteer teachers from around North America and other English-speaking countries. Then our team will spend four weeks working with young Chinese secondary school teachers. The mornings will be spent teaching conversational English and the afternoons will involve lectures to help improve our students’ teaching skills, as well as variety of activities to encourage deep conversations and friendships between us and our students.
